Life of Agony released their first album in over a decade, A Place Where There’s No More Pain, earlier this year via Napalm Records. It was a triumphant return for the group, and we were lucky to attend their sold-out show to celebrate.

According to Blabbermouth, it looks as though drummer Sal Abruscato decided to call it quits. Abruscato has been with the group on and off for well over two decades, and based on this report, he wants to focus on his family.

The drummer shared the following message on his personal Facebook page earlier this week (19th):

“Sometimes you just have to let go and say goodbye to old friends, the past and its ghosts. Move forward, grow up, grab that life preserver and jump off the ship. I have three beautiful daughters and a beautiful wife that love me and that’s what is important.”

The band hasn’t commented nor released an official departure statement.
