Metallica and Guns N’ Roses have made Forbes latest list of Top 100 Highest-Paid Celebrities in 2019. Metallica comes in at #21 with $65 million and Guns N’ Roses comes in at #71 with $44 million.

This shouldn’t be much of a surprise given the amount of success Metallica has had the past couple of months. The band was actually named one of the top earning hard rock and metal tours by Pollstar during the “2019 Midyear” reporting period, which covered November 22, 2018 to May 22, 2019.

The metal thrashers are currently on their 21 arena World Wired tour and have grossed a grand total of $41.7 million. Average attendance is roughly more than 16,000 and the band moved almost 350,000 tickets during that span. With those numbers, Metallica definitely deserves to be on the list.

As for Guns N’ Roses, their “Not In This Lifetime” tour has become the second-highest grossing tour of all time, generating more than $500 million. The trek began in April 2016, and after 159 shows in 41 countries, it played its last date at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii on December 8, 2018.
