Yesterday (18th), we were excited hearing about Metallica teaming up with the San Francisco Symphony for the first time in two decades for the upcoming inaugural Chase Center Concert on September 6th. While many Metallica Legacy and Fifth Member club members were ecstatic to have their chance to buy tickets a few days early, it appears the site crashed before they had their chance to check out. While there were people who were lucky to obtain tickets, many have shared their failed experience via Twitter.
Tickets became on sale instantly at Stubhub before fans had a chance to view their pre-sale opportunity. Fans have reported signing in at exactly 9 AM PST and 10 AM PST as their select purchase read “unavailable.” People have tried every single option that they could for the entire half hour, still failing to obtain a single ticket.
Check out the feedback below and see what StubHub is selling them for:

@metallica @ticketstoday please direct your attention to the multitude of Facebook and Twitter comments regarding this morning’s presale, as it seems ticket bots scalped everything in seconds. Many, many fans including myself missed out because of this. Please try to address this

Facing the same situation. What is the point of the presale if tickets are unavailable!?
— Mo Money, Mo Bamba (@AaronTheEra) March 19, 2019
@Metallica your fan club presale was disappointing 😞 Waited all morning to get those tickets and they were sold out before I even clicked the button 😿 Bad omen to that new arena. #unforgiven #metallica

Hey. Are you seeing anything on social where legacy fans are actually getting tickets? Or is it just us three getting screwed?
— Anthony Noguera (@anthonynoguera) March 19, 2019
Metallica fifth member pre-order code holder on website at launch of ticket sales and still got no option to buy tickets. 👎 😭

At 18 PM (10 Am Pacific Time ) trying to buy any kind of ticket and always the same error over and over again !!😡😡🤬🤬 Very very sad with the online ticket system in the web… @Metallica My dream for see S&M 2 concert flew away pic.twitter.com/VyVIyGFawY

It’s BS is what it is. Either there weren’t that many tickets available to begin with, a MASSIVE amount of members (doubtful), or (most likely) bots.
— Matt Egen (@FlyingBlueMonki) March 19, 2019
Bullshit I couldn’t buy tickets! Been on the site for 30 minutes!
— Rico V (@ricovladi) March 19, 2019
@Metallica This presale was a joke. My wife & I have both been trying since 10am and no luck after a hundred tries. Than Stubhub & SFTickets are reselling already for ten times the ticket price. We have followed you guys since we were kids & saw the first S&M show in Berkeley. 😩

@Metallica what’s going on there are literally no tickets available for S&M2 pre-sale? Every ticket I select just says “not enough available to fulfil your request”??
— Sam #FBFITEBWJLSMF (@samh411) March 19, 2019
I’m asking the same question! Who the hell got the tickets! Legacy member for 24 years and not even one ticket! It’s beyond ridiculous! Sold out and none of my friends got anything and I know people all over the world! What a joke! 😬😬🤢🤢😤😤 #Metallica #SFSymphony
— Monica To (@MonicaoTo) March 19, 2019
Can’t get any tickets for Metallica. I’m guessing your site has crashed again @ticketmaster_au
— Michelle Chamberlin (@MichelleChambo) March 18, 2019
I’ve tried to buy the tickets at 10am (fifth member) but it was sold out! 😖😖😖 after convincing my wife to stay with the baby newly born in Madrid…
