We can honestly say that we’ve stopped counting how many Mondays it’s been during this COVID-19 pandemic. However, we’ve been thankful for Metallica’s weekly #MetallicaMondays series as each week, the group streams a live show. Tonight’s performance takes us back to the early years as we get to see ‘Live in Chicago’ from August 12th, 1983. The streaming starts at 8 PM EST.

The band commented:

“Check out tonight’s #MetallicaMondays show, “Live in Chicago – August 12, 1983” – that’s right, 1983! James had just turned 20 and Lars was still a teenager. Tune in for free tonight to see the fresh-faced four horsemen. Streaming starts at 5 PM PDT / 8 PM EDT. #StayHome

In more Metallica news, the group’s 2020 stripped down version of “Blackened” is now available on all streaming services.
