It’s been three days since we received a Tool update, which apparently means it’s time for another one. According to Maynard James Keenan, the new Tool album will be released somewhere between mid-May and mid-July. The frontman shared another update via Twitter, explaining how the album is currently halfway through the mixing process.

“Update- Midway through mixing. Most likely be a few recalls. Then some arguing. Then Mastering, Artwork, Video, Special Packaging, etc. Best Ballpark Guess- Release date somewhere between Mid May and Mid July. More focused updates to follow as we progress. @tool #simplemath

Late last month, video leaked of drummer Danny Carey responding to a fan explaining that the new album will arrive sometime in April. The group unveiled a video teaser shortly after of what could be artwork for their new album. This of course, convinced many that the upcoming record could arrive this spring. However, Maynard shortly shot down the rumor as he responded with a simple “No.” Therefore the Tool saga continues as to when the follow-up to 2006’s 10,000 Days will realistically arrive.
