Many have been there before, finding yourself with a speed ticket after getting lost in one of your favorite songs while driving on the freeway or empty highway. However, one speedy driver had the guts to use music as an excuse for speeding. According to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Manitoba, a driver mentioned Mötley Crüe’s “Kickstart My Heart” was on the radio when caught speeding. The cop knew he was telling the truth since he was coincidentally listening to the track as well. Regardless, the driver was left with a $639 fine.

“This driver’s excuse for going 145kmh? Kickstart my Heart by Mötley Crüe was on the radio. Funny enough, our officer knew he was telling the truth, since he was also listening to it – just at a much slower & safer speed. Fined $639. #noexcuses #AlwaysGotTheCopsComingAfterMe
