The past year has been a busy one for Motley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx. With Motley Crüe officially retired from touring and his band Sixx: A.M. on a hiatus, Sixx shared an Instagram post, teasing a few of his plans for 2019. He wrote:

“Officially start working on a new album tomorrow as part of my trilogy project for 2019. Very excited to be working with a handful of different producers and artists to pull the vision that’s been haunting me together.”

Additionally, Sixx appears to be in the holiday spirit as he shared an image of himself with Santa Claus and John 5. Perhaps the Rob Zombie guitarist will be part of Sixx’ trilogy project.

After making a guest appearance at a John 5 show in LA, the bassist hinted at more live performances with “5” and may appear in the John 5 and the Creatures video for “Zoinks!” due New Year’s Day.

Beyond that, Sixx has been in the studio with members of Motley Crüe working on music for the upcoming biopic Dirt due via Netflix on March 22nd

Lastly, Sixx responded to a fan tweet about Sixx: A.M., promising new music in 2019, stating:

“We have a lot of cool new music coming next year.”

So there you have it, it all adds up to a lot of new stuff from Nikki Sixx in the very near future.
