After three studio albums with Victory Records, OTEP is packing up and moving to a new label home with Napalm Records, as reported by Blabbermouth.

Said vocalist Otep Shamaya on the change of scenery,

“Signing with Napalm Records is one of the most exciting alliances I’ve ever made. I haven’t felt this excited to write a new album since ‘Sevas Tra’. There’s a lot of work to do, a lot of music to write, a lot of things to say, a lot of injustices to confront and a lot of madness to summon and capture. To be able to forge this sacred alchemy with the dark brilliance of producer Howard Benson is a dream come true.”

Otep making references to “a lot of injustices” may include the alleged sexual assault by the former singer of Terror Universal, or being rushed by a drunk concert goer – both of which happened this year.

A new album in 2016 will be OTEP’s seventh, and first since Hydra came out in 2013, debuting at #134 on the Billboard charts, their lowest chart debut with Victory Records.
