Tate-less Queensrÿche album slated for October release

Posted by on July 2, 2015

The latest version of Queensrÿche – the one without original singer Geoff Tate – will be releasing their first new album since their self-titled release back in 2013.

Said guitarist Michael Wilton, who has been in the band since their formation in 1982,

“The next album from Queensrÿche is hopefully coming out the first week of October. We are doing a worldwide release. And the record label, Century Media, is the one that will be putting it out.

They have the demos right now and are very positive and happy about it. I know that a lot of people are really anticipating this, so stay tuned and you won’t be disappointed.”

The band heads out on tour later this month, leading right into October when the new album comes out. The new album was funded by a PledgeMusic campaign, in addition to letting bands invest in the band, starting at $50,000. Geoff Tate, meanwhile, is doing his own thing with his new band, Operation Mindcrime.
