Testament, Exodus and Death Angel are currently on a European tour together, and they all have a lot to celebrate. Testament have been promoting their new album, Titans of Creation, a little early as they recently performed their single “Night of the Witch” live for the first time. Death Angel are commemorating frontman Mark Osegueda’s birthday, and Exodus are rejoicing in the return of Gary Holt, where he spent a decent amount of time performing with Slayer. Roughly one month after Exodus’ trip on the Caribbean seas during 70000tons of Metal, the group returned to a boat, where the overall journey became deadly. During the tour, the three groups had to embark on a ferry between Sweden and Finland last night (10th), where they ended up being stuck in the middle of Storm Ciara/Sabine, which so far has killed at least seven people in Europe. The storm was incredibly bad that their truck didn’t make it but somehow, the trio pooled their gear together, so their scheduled show is still on. Gary Holt shared a few details on this experience via Instagram:

“Rough seas? I thought @70000tons was bad? Last nights ferry – cruise to Finland last night was on another level. Most insane thing I’ve ever experienced. Yeah, it was a little terrifying. Ship was getting tossed like a canoe. But we made it. The truck did not, but we all pooled our gear together so the show is ON!!!! Time to rock”

“Okay, after a little research on last nights storm, I know of three bands who got extremely lucky!!! 25 foot waves, category 11 out of a 12 scale, two out of five band members puking their guts out, it was FUCKING TERRIFYING!!! But we made it and I feel pretty fucking alive today!! But I’m kind of done with big wave ferry and cruise ship trips! Ugh! Time for some sleep tonight”

“Sitting on the throne while boarding the ferry from hell, to Helsinki! It’s all fun and games until someone starts puking!! Thought we were gonna put the “sink” in Helsinki!”
