The list of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame presenters was announced on Wednesday (March 13). Among the artists on the list is Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor, who will be inducting The Cure into the Hall of Fame.

Reznor has been a staunch opponent of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In an interview with Stereogum back in October, he said of the institution

“I honestly couldn’t give less of a shit. I’m not gonna sleep any better. Included or not. With that being said, it’s always nice to feel you’ve been appreciated to some degree but it’s not on my list of things I have to achieve before I die.”

Nine Inch Nails was nominated for the hall once in 2014, but were passed over for induction.

The list of presenters also includes Talking Heads’ David Byrne inducting Radiohead, Janelle Monae inducting Janet Jackson, Queen’s Brian May inducting Def Leppard, One Direction’s Harry Styles inducing Stevie Nicks, The Bangles’ Susanna Hoffs inducing The Zombies and Duran Duran’s John Taylor and Simon Le Bon inducting Roxy Music.

The 2019 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony is set to take place on March 29 at New York’s Barclays Center with an HBO special to follow a few months down the road. This is the sixth year tickets for the event are being sold to the public.

Nine Inch Nails released their latest studio album, Bad Witch, in June 2018. In January, Reznor’s soundtrack to the hit Netflix film ‘Birdbox’ was given a wide release. Last week marked the 25th anniversary of Nine Inch Nails’ sophomore album, The Downward Spiral.
