Dead Cross kicked off their tour one week ago, which is the first time the Mike Patton-fronted band has played live. While the band are in the middle making a few Texas stops, members Justin Pearson and Michael Crain were temporarily placed in police custody out in Houston yesterday (15). This resulted in having the band’s gear searched and were restrained during the inspection.

Here’s what a press release from the band’s PR agency says:

Members of Dead Cross were temporarily placed in police custody while in Houston on Aug. 15. The band, who just released their eponymous debut album via Ipecac Recordings and are on tour in support of the album, had their gear searched and were restrained during the inspection. The band members have been advised by legal counsel not to provide further comment on the incident. More information is expected to be made available from authorities following arraignment.

The tour will continue as planned along with supporting their brand new self-titled debut album via Ipecac Recordings.
