Wear Your Wounds has given an update on the progress of their upcoming album. In a post made to his Facebook page, vocalist Jacob Bannon shared that the band had finished months of tracking and were now ready to start the next phase of the process. Accompanying the announcement was a translucent picture of a bass over a picture of a dog.

The band announced that they were recording a new album back in December and have been posting photos from the studio to their Facebook page over the last two months. According to the announcement post, this is the first time the live line-up of the band have formally written and recorded together. The album is set for release in early-mid 2019 through Deathwish with the potential title ‘Rust On The Gates Of Heaven.’

Wear Your Wounds is Bannon (Converge), Mike McKenzie (The Red Chord, Stomach Earth), Adam McGrath (Cave In, Nomad Stones), Sean Martin (Twitching Tongues, ex-Hatebreed, ex-Kid Cudi) and Chris Maggio (ex-Trap Them, ex-Sleigh Bells). The band released their last studio album, ‘Dunedevil,’ in late 2017, less than a year after their debut double album, ‘WYW.’ Last year they released ‘Live at the BBC,’ which was recorded at Maida Vale Studio.

More details about the album are expected soon. The band is also planning to go on tour following the album’s release.
