Screen Shot 2014-12-06 at 3.51.31 PMIf you were to associate a word with Slayer like they were a Buzzfeed article, “adorable” would normally be one of the last words to spring to mind. However, if you can look at the picture to your right and not think it’s the cutest thing ever, you might not have a soul. On Wednesday (3), the day before a show in Indianapolis at the Old National Centre, the band’s crew found and rescued a kitten. The band’s publicist spoke to nuvo.net on Thursday, the day of the show:

“Last night Kerry [King] and some of the crew went to dinner at Kerry’s favorite steak house in Indy, St. Elmo’s Steak House. Afterwards, the assistant tour manager, Jess [Cortese] saw a homeless man on the street who offered up this little kitten for a dollar. The kitten apparently was freezing so Jess took it, slept with her in her bunk on the bus and went to the venue with her today, hanging out. One of the runners knew someone who wanted a kitten, so the little guy now has anew home where he or she currently is.”

The cat has been named Gypsy, which is an ok name for a cat, but Kerry might’ve been a better one. Either way, it’s nice to see Slayer taking time away from being evil and practicing an act of human kindness.
