This past Tuesday, New York was taken over by the metal community even more than normal, as the Revolver Music Awards presented their first annual event after taking off a year and rebranding from being the Golden Gods Awards. A packed Webster Hall saw the likes of Megadeth, Anthrax, Lacuna Coil and Stitched Up Heart play the event, which was presided over by Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine and SiriusXM Liquid Metal host Jose Mangin. There was also an all-star jam featuring Bumblefoot, Ace Frehley and members of Megadeth, Slipknot, Pop Evil, Annihilator, Mutoid Man, Butcher Babies, Red Sun Rising and Lacuna Coil Actors including The Walking Dead‘s Norman Reedus and Orange is the New Black‘s Jessica Pimentel were also on hand to present awards and hang out.
