Photos: The Dillinger Escape Plan’s last stand

Posted by on January 4, 2018

When The Dillinger Escape Plan announced that their last show of their career would take place at the end of 2017 at New York’s Terminal 5, fans from around the world started making plans to be there. After the first show sold out in minutes, the 3,000-capacity venue added a second show, then a third. After a 20 year career, Dillinger went out on top, not sacrificing anything in the physicality or dexterity of either their music or their live show. It almost seems impossible that the high intensity of their music and the crowd-walking and balcony diving of the act is something that they’d be able to do if they stuck around, so instead, they gave fans three shows to remember. While we weren’t at all three, contributing photographer Melinda Oswandel made it out to two of the three shows. While no online outlets were allowed to shoot the shows, Melinda was still able to capture some pretty amazing images via her iPhone. Rest in Power, Dillinger. See you again someday, maybe?
