Black Fast returned to Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus on July 16th and this time, they brought their new album Spectre of Ruin with them. The LP was released the Friday prior (13th) via eOne and therefore, they had enough material to infect the audience with blistering melodies that would haunt them for the rest of the week.

While Ohio’s Ringworm were the headliners for the evening, we were solely there to see these St. Louis thrashers metaphorically destroy the venue as their live energy arguably surpasses your average show experience. It was obvious that night that the group truly enjoyed being on stage as they themselves got lost within their own tunes. They exceeded their sound by releasing a vibrant adrenaline that made the crowd instantly glued to their set.

These guys fit well with acts such as Warbringer and Exmortus and yet, there is something unique about them. It is only a matter of time until you see them bringing their music all over the world and maybe, board 70,000tons of Metal.

On this particular night, time passed by as though their set felt like five minutes as they closed out with their new single “Husk.” Overall, Black Fast is a band that you do not want to miss seeing live.
