Baroness’ Peter Adams talks about fly fishing

Baroness_-_YellowThere’s a podcast for almost everything right now, and while we tend to listen to more of the comedy and/or metal ones out there, there are podcasts dedicated to fly fishing. While that’s not all that surprising, as city dwellers, we probably wouldn’t have known about it if it wasn’t for Baroness’ Facebook page telling us that the band’s guitarist Peter Adams was on the Orvis Fly-Fishing Guide Podcast with Tom Rosenbauer.

Rosenbauer doesn’t even mention that it’s Adams on the website, instead just calling him a “guitarist from a heavy metal rock band.” Starting about 37 minutes in, the podcast plays Baroness’ acoustic instrumental “Stretchmarker,” before launching into a conversation with Adams. Among the topics of discussion were how Adams is able to fish while on tour, what he fishes for, and how fishing is like composing music. If you’re a fisherman, you’ll probably want to listen to this. If you’re a die hard Baroness fan that likes knowing about its member’s hobbies, likewise. If you’re a casual fan of Baroness and fishing, congrats on making it to the end of the article.
