When was the last time you heard about Katatonia? Well, maybe not that long if you consider the announcement of their guitarist Sodomizer and their drummer Daniel Liljekvist leaving the band a few years ago. Other than that, things have been pretty quiet on the Katatonia headquarters and that’s because the band was finishing their newest record and recruiting some new people to have it ready for us this year.

The new record titled The Fall of Hearts will hit the shelves on May 20th via Peaceville Records and will feature new drummer Daniel ‘Mojjo’ Moilanen along with their newly recruited guitarist Roger Öjersson (Tiamat), who took the helm of the lead guitars. The band commented on their 10th album:

“This album is probably everything we unknowingly ever dreamed of to release. It’s a bleak but adventurous journey through our elements, we haven’t held back, we have pushed to get forward and backward in the ever spiraling night of our musical legacy.”
