New Jersey metallers Mutiny Within charged onto the scene back in 2010 with its self-titled debut album which garnered much praise from the metal community. Now, the band will be back at it (kind of) in 2013 with its second album Synchronicity, set to release on January 12.

Synchronicity is also the band’s first release since it went on hiatus last year after vocalist Chris Clancy and keyboardist Drew Stavola left the group. Then, this past summer, Clancy announced he would be recording with the band again, though members have previously stated that there aren’t really any plans beyond this next album.

It would be shame to see the band die out after putting all the effort forward to finish new material, so hopefully Synchronicity will help bring Mutiny Within back up to speed in some way.
