Urban Outfitters has long been a place where hipsters that claim to not be hipsters can pick up the latest Atari logo T-shirt or book to teach you how to get drunk. And while it’s mainly a clothing store, they also sell vinyl. Metal Injection has found that among the vinyl you can pick up there now is Sunn 0)))’s 2000 sophomore album, ØØ Void. While Urban Outfitters has dabbled in metal before, an ambient, sludgy album that probably hasn’t sold more than 10,000 copies in 23 years is vastly different than a $50 pre-distressed Anthrax girl’s shirt. It’s doubtful that the band will find a new audience from this, but with retail space for music dwindling by the day and vinyl sales increasing every year, at least there’s one unlikely place where you’ll be able to pick up some vinyl from one of the most experimental drone bands out there.
