Back in May, Korn surprised fans at the Carolina Rebellion festival when they had former guitarist Brian “Head” Welch join them onstage to perform “Blind.” And next Summer, German fans will get to see the nu-metal group with their original guitarist not once, but twice.

Korn announced yesterday that Welch (who left the group back in 2005 after becoming a born again Christian) will perform with them at Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park in June, 2013 in Nürburgring and Nürnberg, Germany. “HEAD returns as a special guest to play two full shows with KoRn for the first time since 2004. ‘Like’ if you want to see KoRn live with all 5 members and discuss @http://korn.com/forum/,” Korn posted on Facebook along with the picture above.

As Korn mention, this will mark the first time Welch has performed a full set with Korn in seven years. So far, these are the only two shows they’ve announce with Welch. But could more shows be on the way? Sure, Welch might be busy with his new band Love And Death, but considering that he and Korn are back on good terms after years of bad blood, it wouldn’t surprise us if this could lead to a reunion. Whether drummer David Silveria will ever return, though, is less likely.

The Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park festivals will take place June 7-9, 2013 in the German towns of Nürburgring and Nürnberg, respectively. Watch multi-angle footage of Korn’s Carolina Rebellion performance with Welch after the jump.
