Yes, this is indeed not the first time we’ve heard that Black Sabbath was reuniting this year. First time around, Tony Iommi let it slip to a British tabloid, only to play down (though not totally deny) the report shortly after. Then Ozzy Osbourne’s son Jack hinted that the four original members of Sabbath might be in England together, only to state not long after that he had no clue as to a reunion. And now it time for Ozzy himself to stir the rumor pot.

In an interview with Billboard, the Prince Of Darkness himself says that a Black Sabbath reunion is in the early stages and could happen. When asked about the recent rumors, Ozzy said the following:

“Yes, it’s a very, very strong possibility. It’s in the very early stages, so we haven’t recorded anything yet. If it works out, it’ll work out. If it doesn’t, I’ll keep doing my thing.”

So as you can tell, Ozzy is playing the “nothing is set in stone” card. However, Ozzy does hint that the four band mates are in the planning stages, or at least having more than just casual conversations with each other. But as always, we shouldn’t be holding our breath for anything to actually happen within the Black Sabbath camp. We’ll keep you posted when Ozzy releases a statement downplaying his comments to Billboard.
