Although there’s been no official confirmation, the Eastern Pennsylvania music community is reporting that Janet Rains, who was tour manager for Adrenaline Mob when a tractor trailer struck their RV last month, has died. The Citizens Voice reported Rains’ mother, Lucille Joyner, shared the news on Facebook today, stating “August 23, 2017 Janet chose to be with Jesus.” Most recently, the Wilkes-Barre Times Leader reported that her attorney said she’d taken “a turn for the worse” and was in “very, very, very critical condition.” The 48 year-old Rains had been in the University of Florida Health Shands Burn Center in Gainesville since the crash, which happened on July 14th and took the life of the band’s bassist, David “David Z” Zablidowski.

Rains had also been known in Pennsylvania as the singer of 1908’s cover band M80. She’d performed as Jane Train. Rains’ attorney Ed Ciarimboli told the Times Leader that doctors were expected to speak to Rains’ mother on Monday, which may mean that they knew that she may succumb to her injuries. Pending toxicology tests on the tractor trailer’s driver, a lawsuit was expected to be filed this week. Our condolences with the friends and family of Rains and Adrenaline Mob.
