We are shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of the Prodigy frontman Keith Flint. Flint was found dead at his home in Essex earlier today (4th). Liam Howlett who co-founded the group with Flint in 1990, confirmed the news via Instagram stating that the 49-year-old took his own life.

“The news is true, I can’t believe I’m saying this but our brother Keith took his own life over the weekend,I’m shell shocked, fuckin angry, confused and heart broken ….. r.i.p brother Liam.”

The band issued the following statement via Facebook:

“It is with deepest shock and sadness that we can confirm the death of our brother and best friend Keith Flint. A true pioneer, innovator and legend.  He will be forever missed.

We thank you for respecting the privacy of all concerned at this time.”

The Prodigy released their overall seventh studio album, No Tourists in November 2018. The group recently booked their first headlining U.S tour in a decade, which was scheduled to kick off on May 3rd in Jacksonville, Fl. Due to the unfortunate and sudden loss, we don’t expect to see this tour happening. Right now, we send our condolences to Flint’s bandmates, friends, and family during this tragedy.

As dark as life may seem, there is help out there and the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is just one phone call away, 1-800-273-8255.
