We’ve written about deathcore band Infant Annihilator before, as the band’s self-released album The Elysian Grandeval Galeriarch, charted last year. That’s an impressive for any self-released band, but for a self-released tech/deathcore band, it’s even more impressive. However, if you want to stream their music on Apple Music or Spotify, that’s not happening, as it’s been removed from both services by their digital distributor, Tunecore. The band received a notice that their music was removed from Spotify via an internal decision either as a result of them deeming it too offensive or multiple customer complaints. Following that, Tunecore made the executive decision to remove it from iTunes as well.

If you’re to believe the band’s Facebook page, it’s already costing Spotify some customers, who are cancelling the subscriptions in protest. Given that the album’s song titles include “Neutered in Utero,” “Baptised. Bastardized. Sodomized.,” and “Paedophilic Ultimatum,” it might be more the song titles than the band name that offended people.  At the end of the day, a hell of a lot more people are talking about Infant Annihilator than they were a day ago, and if they’re not going to pick up in streams because they’re not available on Spotify and Apple, at least you can stream the album (or buy it) on Bandcamp, which is below.
