Coronavirus: Danko Jones announce (partially) rescheduled tour dates

Posted by on March 22, 2020

Danko Jones were forced to postpone their UK/Ireland tour due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The group were able to reschedule most, but not all, of the dates for this fall.

“Unfortunately, the recent spread of the coronavirus has made it impossible for us to begin our upcoming UK/Ireland tour, scheduled to start this week.
Luckily we have managed to re-schedule a majority of these shows for the fall instead and the new dates are as follows:
28/10 – Bristol, Thekla
29/10 – London, Underworld
30/10 – Manchester, Rebellion
31/10 – Nottingham, Bodega
2/11 – Glasgow, King Tuts
3/11 – Newcastle, Cluny
5/11 – Great Yarmouth, Hard Rock Hell Festival
Already purchased tickets remain valid for the new shows. If you can’t make it on the new dates then please contact your ticket vendor for a refund.
Our shows in Belfast, Dublin and Birmingham that were scheduled between March 24-26th are unfortunately cancelled.
Please contact your ticket vendor for a refund.
As you know, this is out of our control and we waited to see if there was any other way to avoid a cancellation / postponement.
Our sincere apologies to everyone who had made plans to attend the shows.
Thanks for understanding and stay healthy.”

Metal By Numbers 3/15: Look at yourself, now back to me, now at the charts, now back to me

Posted by on March 15, 2017

Metal By Numbers is a weekly column in which we look at the top metal sellers and debuts of the week. What better way to follow up the release of a controversial Suicide Silence album than with a new release from another band that seems universally reviled. Not that you’d know it considering said band […]

Marty Friedman’s b-sides are better than your band’s a-sides

Posted by on September 1, 2015

Onetime Megadeth guitarist and incredibly successful solo artist Marty Friedman is mounting a solo tour next week, his first North American tour since 2003. Tying in with that, perhaps, is the fact that a deluxe edition of his Prosthetic debut, Inferno, will be released this coming Friday (4). Among the “deluxe” part of the reissue is […]

Metal By Numbers 4/30: Buried by sales

Posted by on April 30, 2015

Metal By Numbers is a weekly column in which we look at the top metal sellers and debuts of the week. Oddly, we have more debuts this week than last week’s post-Record Store Day charts. Granted, not all of these releases were as  highly anticipated as a Metallica demo, but still a good week for […]

Here’s two minutes of Marty Friedman getting hyper

Posted by on July 8, 2014

Even if you’re not a fan of guitar shredders, Marty Friedman’s Prosthetic debut, Inferno, has a little something for everyone. The former Megadeth guitarist turned Japanese superstar crams in songs with vocals from members of Revocation (“Sociopaths”), Children of Bodom (“Lycanthrope”) and Danko Jones (“I Can’t Relax” and “Lycanthrope”). a song with Rodrigo y Gabriela, and […]
