Black Sabbath to receive Lifetime Achievement award at 61st annual Grammy Awards

Yesterday (19th), The Recording Academy have announced that Black Sabbath will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at next year’s Grammys. In addition to Black Sabbath, George Carlin & Parliament-Funkadelic, Dionne Warwick, Donny Hathaway, Julio Iglesias, soul duo Sam & Dave, and the late jazz singer Billy Eckstine will also receive the award. The ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 11th, 2019 in Los Angeles.

Earlier this month, the nominees for the 61st annual award ceremony was revealed which includes High on Fire, Deafheaven, Trivium, and more. Check out the nominees here.
