Forgive us if we’re a little skeptical, but according to REVIEWniverse (who?) an anonymous source has stated that Mike Judge is currently outlining 30 new episodes of Beavis And Butt-Head. In it’s original run, the iconic animated show ran from 1993 to 1997 on MTV. If this is indeed true, we can thank the fact that with King of the Hill over and the unfunny The Goode Family tanking, he’s gone back to his roots. While Beavis and Butt-Head has been syndicated and re-released on DVD in recent years, it’s been in extremely edited form, with most of the music videos the two made fun of omitted due to licensing.

One of the best things about the anonymous source is that the new episodes will include the two critiquing music videos. In the original run, Danzig, White Zombie and Crowbar were among the heavier bands that got mainstream success as a result of the two chuckling at them.  And the above bit with Pantera is pure comedy gold. It’ll be awesome to see what new heavy bands the two choose to champion or mock, and we’re looking forward to seeing their takes on the likes of Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga.
