Honorable Mention: Rollins Band – April 19, 1997
Fun fact: the same episode Henry Rollins and crew appeared on SNL also featured an appearance from host Pamela Anderson’s then husband, Tommy Lee, in two sketches. Anderson and the Motley Crue drummer’s relationship was still hot news in the tabloids (thanks in part to Lee’s wild behavior, and their infamous sex tape), but we guess it wasn’t enough to actually get Motley Crue on as a musical guest.
