Until now, the most embarrassing thing Papa Roach singer Jacoby Shaddix could say might have been “I’m the singer of Papa Roach.” No more. In an interview with Hit the Floor magazine, Shaddix was going over some of his “firsts,” and his first kiss might have been the worst kiss. In fact, yes, yes it was:
“My first kiss was when my uncle kissed me and he gave me herpes. It was terrible. Anybody else got herpes? Yeah, you do. Don’t lie to yourself. I know you got it, you watching this.”
That’s, um, unfortunate. Maybe he’s just lying about it to make his current girlfriend/wife that he didn’t get the herp from a skanky groupie, but what’s worse, that, or saying you got it from your uncle? And what kind of way was his uncle kissing him? Brings a whole new meaning to the word “creepy uncle.” The band’s eighth album, F.E.A.R (Face Everything And Rise), will be out in early 2015, and Shaddix will be directing the video for the title track. And stocking up on Valtrex, presumably.
