4. Dream Theater, Images And Words

Dream Theater’s second record was not only the group’s first with James LaBrie, but also spawned their first (and only) top 10 rock hit “Pull Me Under.” That song’s success on radio and MTV would most likely serve as many fans’ first introduction to the prog metal group. And though they’d never match that same success in regards to song hits, the following years would only find Dream Theater’s fan base and album sales to grow stronger. However, many fans still hold Images And Words as their favorite release from Dream Theater. And considering that the album features other standouts like “Metropolis, Pt. 1: The Miracle and the Sleeper” and “Learning To Live,” you can’t blame anyone for that.
