Metal Insider’s Top 5 is a column where we count down the top five of…well basically anything.

Rock stars are often perceived as being larger than life. Posters, album covers, and band photos are shot from low camera angles with the band looking down at the lens. We hear the screams and conjure an image that our idols are super humans. Beings standing at least 6’8” and wielding instruments that rattle the bolts of stadiums around the world.

Most times, it is just our perception. Rock stars are normal people that just happen to be super human when it comes to making music. They’re not descendants of giants. Most stand eye to eye with the common man and eat, sleep, and breathe just like us. Some, however, are a bit smaller and look up to most people. This little list (pun intended) is a compilation of the five Shortest rock stars in metal (along with a few honorable mentions).
