The past few weeks, North America has been treated with some nice tour packages like Slipknot with Marilyn Manson or Deftones with Refused, even though most bands like to play European festivals during this time. That’s why our heaviest tour season here in North America is during fall and we got word of a new tour package that should attract an interesting crowd.

Carcass will hit the road this coming fall in a new co-headliner tour with California post-black metal outfit Deafheaven and will be joined by Inter Arma as support. Carcass recently concluded their tour with Crowbar, Ghoul and Nightdemon, but the first day of the tour, which happened as an after-show during the Chicago Open Air festival, the Brits played with Deafheaven and hinted the tour during a drunk speech by frontman Jeff Walker.

As you can imagine, any tour package containing Deafheaven goes under a lot of criticism by a lot of metal heads due to the perception they’ve received after their successful album Sunbather. Some of the fans have been very vocal about the idea and expressed their opinion about it on Carcass Facebook page with the following:

Isaak Flygare: I personally really appreciate both bands, but they are very different and attract different audiences, which is both positive and negative. Let’s just hope that the crowd handles it well and respects both of these amazing bands for what they are

Eddie Saliba: Deafheaven is fucking sick but definitely should not be on tour with Carcass. they might get booed off stage by the metalheads in the crowd. they are too hipster-ish.

Dave Storie: Who the fuck is deafheaven? Talk about bad decisions on supporting acts! I want Carcass to be around forever and this is not the way to do it!

If you’re one of those who love both bands and aren’t phased by the popular opinion, you can get your tickets this coming Friday 26th for any of the following dates listed below:
