Clutch frontman doing well post-surgery; guitarist to release side project

Posted by on September 19, 2013

clutch_neil_fallon_sndClutch gave us a scare when they had to postpone tour dates because frontman Neil Fallon needed surgery. Luckily the reason for surgery was not life-threatening and had to do with Fallon’s back. A diagnosis of ”cervical spinal stenosis and two herniated discs” however required immediate attention and lengthy recovery time, but Fallon has written some positive Tweets to fans following the procedure that he says ” went well.”

Following the surgery, he seemed in good spirits.

And even ahead of it, Fallon was optimistic.

So no need to worry Clutch fans. Fallon is on the mend. Postponed Clutch shows will resume after the holidays, at the start of the new year. And in the meantime, Clutch guitarist Tim Sult is releasing music on October 15 with his side project Deep Swell, on  Clutch’s Weathermaker Music label.
