Despised Icon Announces Plans for Reunion Shows [Updated]

Posted by on February 4, 2014

It’s been more than 3 years since Canadian death metallers, Despised Icon, disbanded.  However, the band announced this morning that they will be reuniting for 3 festival dates in the UK and Europe, and indicated that there will be announcing some shows in the US and Canada soon.  See their announcement from Facebook below:

It’s been over 3 years already since we played our last shows and long story short, we genuinely miss it. After a few talks and a couple of beers, we decided to get back together temporarily to play a handful of shows. We’re excited to announce that we’ll be returning to Europe in April on the Impericon Festivals in Vienna, Manchester and Cologne. To our friends in Canada and the US, we’ll have some good news for you as well in a few weeks. Thanks for sticking around with us after all these years. Can’t wait to see you all and crush the stage, one more time. Keep it brutal!
While it’s unclear how many US shows they might have planned, one can only hope they have some more substantial touring plans for North America.  We’ll keep you up to date with any new tour announcements.
