It sure looks that way. At least according to the festival’s Facebook page. Last year, they started teasing bands that ultimately wound up playing the festival by asking questions like “what do you think of The Ocean?” and posting stuff like “Revocation \m/” Well, yesterday, they simply posted “Morbid Angel?” It’s opened up the floodgates for fans to suggest their own lineups (the thread has 657 comments), and many are in favor of MA playing. It would make sense – this year will be the 25th anniversary of their debut album, Altars of Madness, and three years is long enough to get the taste of Illud Divinum Insanus out of peoples’ mouths. And although Metal Sucks points out that not all of the bands that they teased wound up playing last Summer’s, this first tease could be a harbinger of things to come.
