The recently-announced Anthrax and Killswitch Engage tour (or Killthrax, as it’s being called), is already a pretty great tour if you’re into Big 4 bands and one of the last New Wave of American Heavy Metal bands from the past decade or so that’s still relevant. Now the ante has been upped, as it’s been announced that Jasta and Code Orange will open for the other bands, with Jasta handling the first half and Code Orange taking the second. The inclusion of Jamey Jasta’s band for the first half of the tour makes it a pretty New England-centric tour, what with Shadows Fall’ Jonathan Donais playing for Anthrax now. The Devil Wears Prada will be playing all shows.
It’s also pretty cool that the new school is getting a chance to win over some fans on the second half of the tour via Code Orange. And this should settle once and for all that Code Orange didn’t mean Killswitch Engage when they were talking about not wanting to tour with bargain basement deathcore bands in our interview with them.
