KoRn guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer is forced to sit out for the group’s upcoming shows starting tomorrow (6th) up until the 11th in order for him to be home with his wife as they are expecting the birth of their daughter, “any day now.” JR Bareis, who is a member of Brian “Head” Welch’s project Love And Death, will be filling in for Shaffer. KoRn are currently touring across North America with Alice In Chains and you can check the rest of the tour dates here.

Shaffer issued the following statement:

“Since our family is waiting any day now for the birth of our daughter, I won’t be performing from Tuesday, August 6th through Sunday, August 11th. I’ll be back in Detroit. I’m going to miss you all very much on those dates. But, you’re in great hands with our close friend and brother JR Bareis who is filling in for me… and of course the rest of KoRn who will carry the load.
