Maynard James Keenan allows fans to use cell phones for one song at A Perfect Circle show

Posted by on October 23, 2018

A Perfect Circle’s strict no-phone/photo policy has been an ongoing saga for over a year now. Maynard James Keenan has expressed using cell phones at shows only kills traditional storytelling. Fans have made attempts to capture the group as it wasn’t too long ago when YouTube pulled a fan-filmed clip of APC’s entire Coachella performance. However, everything changed at the kick-off of the band’s fall tour on Saturday (20th) in West Valley, UT. Keenan decided to give his fans a “present from grandpa” as he allowed the audience to use their cell phones for the last song, “Delicious.” The tune is taken from their latest effort Eat the Elephant and concertgoers had the opportunity to record the band’s live debut of the track.
