Motley Crue’s Vince Neil planning to play seventy solo shows

vinceneiljerseyMötley Crüe did their definitive, absolute, conclusive and totally not-coming-back farewell tour last year, with their final show on December 31st in Los Angeles where Tommy Lee got stuck with his drum kit in mid-air and we believe some of you may be heartbroken about the idea of never seeing the Crüe live. But fear not, my friends, because now you can get to see singer Vince Neil during his solo run.

During a recent interview with Helen Yee, host of “Eyes On The Game” sports radio at last week’s Nevada Boxing Hall Of Fame press conference in Las Vegas, Neil decided to break the news about his upcoming plans now that Mötley Crüe are waiting to cash in a comeback tour done playing, revealing that he has plans to tour on his own in, at least, seventy dates:

“Well, I’ve retired from MÖTLEY CRÜE; that’s no more. But I’ve got seventy solo shows starting April 29th ’till the end of the year, so I’ll be touring, yeah.”

In a different interview, Neil explained that he will have some new tunes for those who are eager to catch him on a road, stating:

“I’ll say that we’re recording some stuff for a new record this year, You often hear some surprises at our shows. I don’t want to give away some of those surprises, but let’s just say you might have struck a nerve that could ring true… I think there’s always room for this type of music. Some of the things we are working on will be in that same vein. The music is exciting. It’s good, fun, nasty, raw energy and good songs. That’s what is so important — good, fun songs. I mean, who wouldn’t want to go out and not have a good time? Not me. So I’m thankful to be playing everywhere I am.”

That sounds like a very busy time for Mr. Neil, considering he’ll be part of the new season of Celebrity Apprentice with the terminator Arnie himself. If you didn’t know Neil had a solo career, we are very sorry to break the news to you but if you want to have an idea on how his solo shows are, check out the impression we had a few years back. We would do our journalistic work and check out one of the scheduled dates but we decided is better to your feedback, so let us know how you enjoyed it!
