In a recent interview with Street Date, Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine revealed some juicy tidbits about the band’s upcoming touring plans. Around the 3 minute mark in the video above, Mustaine said that Megadeth would be touring with none other than Motörhead, as well as Volbeat and Lacuna Coil in the upcoming year.

At the moment, though, it is unclear as to whether Megadeth will be touring with these bands separately or as part of Gigantour. As you may recall, Mustaine first let it slip back in July that his traveling festival would be returning in 2012 and that three of the four bands on the bill were confirmed. Bassist David Ellefson confirmed shortly after that the trek would start at the beginning of January and that all four bands were locked in for the tour. This would still leave a slot on the tour open for Devildriver, whose frontman Dez Fafara tweeted that they were partaking in “BIG TOUR” around the same time frame as Gigantour. Megadeth, Motörhead, Volbeat, Lacuna Coil, AND Devildriver on the same bill?! Holy crap!

Not to be a debbie downer, but now comes the time where we remind you that talk of Gigantour’s lineup is just speculation. It is quite possible that Megadeth will be touring with each band separately in different markets around the world. Hopefully an official announcement will be made shortly. For now, you can watch Mustaine’s entire interview with Street Date in the video above.
