‘Mr. Pickles’ to practice the metal it preaches with Exodus, Municipal Waste tour

Posted by on January 11, 2018

If you haven’t seen the first two seasons of Adult Swim’s Mr. Pickles, do yourself a favor and get caught up immediately. The show is about a family and their dog, but instead of rescuing Timmy from a well, Mr. Pickles is satanic, bathing in rivers of blood and killing people. And while the show obviously has a metal streak running through it, now it’s putting their metal where their mouth is by having an Adult Swim-presented “Mr. Pickles Thrash-tacular Metal Tour, featuring Exodus and Municipal Waste. The 2 1/2-week tour hits a lot of major cities, and is pretty much the best thing old or new thrash fans could ask for. Exodus guitarist Gary Holt (who you also might recognize from a band called Slayer), is as psyched as you are:

Super excited to hit the road again with our good bros in Municipal Waste for the Adult Swim’s Mr. Pickles Thrash-tacular tour! This will be a thrash extravaganza at its finest!!!! Can’t wait!

Municipal Waste hail from Richmond, as do Mr. Pickles creators Will Carsola and Dave Stewart.  They’re equally pumped:

We go way back with Will and Dave, the creators of Mr. Pickles. They come from Richmond, VA as well and even shot our first music video for “Unleash the Bastards.” We’ve remained good friends throughout all our endeavors and when they asked us to be part of this tour there was no hesitation on our part. The icing on the cake was when Exodus came on board. We’re no stranger to touring with these maniacs and we’ve shared some wild times on the road over the years (at least from what I can remember!) It’s gonna be one helluva trip, hitting the US club circuit with our brothers in Exodus and seeing our old friends along the way.

Tickets for the tour go on sale tomorrow (1/12) at 10am, but you don’t have to wait until then, as there are presale events going on now (passwords = ACCESS and PICKLES666). Look directly below this sentence for the tour dates.
