Last year’s edition of the Death To All tour, a tribute to legendary Death founder Chuck Schuldiner, was an unabashed success. We know that we certainly enjoyed it. Well, apparently the rest of the country agreed, and as a result, the tour is coming back for a third run of dates.
Dubbed as the “Swamp Leper Stomp ’14 North American Tour”, the tour will feature Death To All, now being referred to as DTA Tours, with support from Obituary, Massacre, and Rivers of Nihil. Untimely Demise will also be appearing on a string of dates in the middle of the tour. DTA Tours has also planned some one-off dates in the South that will take place once the formal tour has concluded.
The band lineup for this year’s tour will be slightly different from previous incarnations. Bassist Steve DiGiorgio and drummer Sean Reinert are continuing as part of the DTA Tours lineup, and they will be joined this time by former Death guitarist Bobby Koelble. Max Phelps of Cynic, meanwhile, will once again assume vocal and second guitar duties for the tour.
