Even though he spent this summer touring with Slipknot and Marilyn Manson, Of Mice & Men frontman Austin Carlile has been living with a rare fibrostic connective tissue disorder called Marafan syndrome. This disorder has been a constant, forcing him to cancel shows in the past. And while he’s taken time off from touring, rest and a handful of surgeries isn’t help him get better under his condition. It seems his disorder is taking full control of his body and he cannot head back on the road – including the recent canceled Australian tour with A Day To Remember.
It is no surprise that this news aggravated quite a few impatient fans as it led Carlile to speak up further about his sickness. Many fans perceive artists as invincible forces where they could perform with a broken leg, neck or even a rare muscle disease. However, Carlile’s is currently unrepairable. You can view a few of his tweets below as he reveals more about his personal suffering.
