Ozzy Osbourne Reveals Album Artwork, Ozzfest Announcement Coming Friday

Posted by on April 29, 2010

Two weeks ago, Ozzy Osbourne’s new song “Let Me Hear You Scream” was posted online after its debut on CSI: NY. And now the cover artwork to the Prince of Darkness’ new album Scream has been revealed online. Is it just me, or does anyone else find it ironic that the new Ozzy album is called Scream yet he appears on the cover NOT screaming? Seems like a missed opportunity to me.The track listing to Scream, which will be released on June 15 via Epic Records, has also been revealed and can be viewed over at Ozzfest.com.

In addition, we may also finally find out Ozzy’s summer plans this weekend. For the past few months, we’ve been told that Ozzfest will return as a touring festival this summer. However, there have been no updates on this year’s lineup or dates ever since Osbourne confirmed about the festival’s return to Sirius XM’s Liquid Metal back in February. Well it appears that we might soon find out, as it’s being reported that an announcement regarding Ozzfest 2010 will be made this Friday night. Granted, this doesn’t confirm what exactly will be announced. However, we have to imagine that the announcement is somehow related to the lineup. It is getting close to the Summer, and there haven’t even been rumors about who might be playing, let alone any confirmation. With competing festival tours like Mayhem Fest already planned to the core, Ozzfest needs to step up and move fast.

We will keep you posted when more is announced.
