Rammstein has released a short documentary going behind the scenes of a four-day photoshoot with Danish photographer Jes Larson that resulted in the artwork for the band’s recent untitled album.

The documentary covers everything that went into the shoot, including it’s concept, set design, costume design and editing, along with plenty of footage of the band posing for the camera. It also features interviews with members of the production crew, including Larson, stylist Vibe Dabelsteen and retoucher Marty Bo Kristensen.

Colloquially known as Rammstein, the untitled album was released in 2019. It was the band’s first new album in nearly 10 years, following 2009’s Liebe ist für alle da. The album was a well-received hit, peaking at number one on sales charts all over the world.

The documentary can be viewed below:

While the entirety of their European and German tours have been rescheduled to 2021 due to the pandemic, Rammstein is currently still set to play a handful of North American dates in late August-early September.

The German industrial metal outfit issued the following statement on their rescheduled European tour:

“EUROPE STADIUM TOUR RESCHEDULED TO 2021!

Today we’re delighted to announce the new, rescheduled dates for this year’s Rammstein – tour, which had to be cancelled due to COVID-19. All shows have now been rescheduled to 2021, and already-purchased tickets will remain valid for the new dates! We are very much looking forward to seeing many of you next year!”
