It’s been three years since Cold Day Memory, the first Sevendust album since Clint Lowery rejoined the band. Now their next album, Black Out the Sun, has finally gotten a release date. The album,their ninth, will be released on their own 7Bros. Records on March 26, 2013. To coincide with the release of the album, the band have announced a headlining tour in February with support from Lacuna Coil.
That’s in keeping with what had previously been rumored/announced by Clint Lowery in a recent interview – with one exception. While saying that it wasn’t official, he also said a reunited Coal Chamber would be playing the show, which would make it a pretty great tour for anyone that liked metal in the late ’90s, as well as those that wanted to see what Dez Fafara’s band before Devildriver sounded like.
We sent a tweet to the frontman for comment. While neither confirming or denying that Coal Chamber would be joining the tour, he quickly responded “Don’t you worry – JUST HANG TIGHT.” While there has been beef with Sevendust and Coal Chamber in the past, that was likely due to CC’s former bassist Rayna Foss, who was married to Morgan Rose. She’s neither in the band or married to Rose anymore, which you’d think would alleviate any problems. Here’s hoping that Coal Chamber is able to join the tour.
