It’s been 14 years since Soundgarden did a proper tour. And while their activity since they reformed on New Year’s Day of 2010 has been limited to three shows, one kinda new song and a live CD, it appears that they’ll be back on the road this Summer. The band have announced four dates so far, with more to come.  They’ll be on the road from July 2-30, with shows announced so far in Toronto, Philly, Denver and Los Angeles. Registered users of soundgardenworld.com are eligible to buy presale tickets this Monday, while they’ll go on sale to the public on Friday, April 22 (for Denver) or Saturday April 23 (for the other three shows) at 10am local time.

With the band apparently working on new material, they could have a new album out by then. Even if they don’t, it’ll be a nice follow-up to Faith No More’s summer tour last year. Looks like ’90s alt-rock is coming out of retirement!
