This new Wovenwar song is ‘Profane’

Wovenwar-large-Band-photo-620x413The Wovenwar album, which is self-titled, will be released next Tuesday (5), but if you don’t know what the new band sounds like, you haven’t been paying much attention to the internet lately. The band have already debuted a pair of songs as well as some previews of a few other songs. Now, via Revolver, you can hear another song from the band, which features all of the members of As I Lay Dying except for one, along with Shane Blay of Oh Sleeper. “Profane” doesn’t have any profanity in it. It does, however, have hooks galore. Like the other material we’ve heard from the album, it’s instrumentally very much like As I Lay Dying, but Blay’s vocals give the band a commercial edge that they were lacking before, and could bring the new band to an entirely different audience than AILD had.

Wovenwar will be released on August 5th on Metal Blade Records. It can be preordered here.
